Copyright Policy
Veril Studio respects the intellectual property of others and expects Cibbbo users to do the same. This Copyright Policy explains how copyright applies to recipes, how recipe imports work, and how to report infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA). It is part of the Terms of Service.
1. Your Content
You keep ownership of the recipes, photos, and text you create. Only upload content you own or have the right to share.
2. Recipes & Copyright
A bare list of ingredients and basic cooking steps is generally not protected by copyright. However, the creative parts of a recipe usually are: descriptive write-ups, stories, styling, and photography.
Adapting a recipe in your own words with your own photos is normally fine — and crediting the original creator is good community practice. Copying a creator’s write-up or photos is not.
3. Importing Recipes from the Web
The recipe import feature saves a structured copy of a recipe (ingredients, steps) for your personal use in the app.
Do not use imports to republish another site’s creative content as your own public recipe. You are responsible for how you use imported content and for complying with the source site’s terms.
4. Reporting Infringement (DMCA Notice)
If you believe content on Cibbbo infringes your copyright, email contact@veril.studio with: (1) identification of the copyrighted work; (2) identification of the infringing material and where it appears in the app or on the site; (3) your name, address, email, and phone number; (4) a statement that you have a good-faith belief the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; (5) a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the owner or authorized to act for the owner; and (6) your physical or electronic signature.
We will remove or disable access to material identified in a valid notice and notify the user who posted it.
5. Counter-Notices
If your content was removed and you believe it was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to contact@veril.studio including: identification of the removed material and its prior location; a statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good-faith belief it was removed by mistake or misidentification; your name, address, and phone number; consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court for your district (or any district where we may be found, if outside the U.S.); and your signature.
If the original claimant does not file a court action within 10–14 business days, we may restore the material.
6. Repeat Infringers
We terminate the accounts of repeat infringers in appropriate circumstances.
Misrepresenting that content is infringing (or was removed by mistake) can make you liable for damages under the DMCA.
